2020 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival – June 11-14
The 2020 Bonnaroo lineup was announced today and it’s a good one. The music and arts festival will take place in Manchester, TN – June 11-14. This years Friday through Sunday headliners are Tool, Lizzo and Tame Impala. That’s a pretty strong lineup and lucky for me, I’m a pretty big fan of all three. Joining them will be cast of great artists and performers. People like Lana Del Rey, Miley Cirus, Vampire Weekend, The 1975, Flume, Run the Jewels, Leon Bridges, Jason Isbell, Oysterhead, Young Thug, Primus (yeah!), Dashboard and so many more. One set I’m particularly looking forward to is Nelly performing the entire Country Grammar record. That’s seriously going to be off the hook. Okay – the album and that saying may be from 2000 but it’s seriously going to be off the hook.
Tickets for this massive four-day event can be found at Bonnaroo’s website: https://www.bonnaroo.com/
But there’s more than just headliners at this festival. There are emerging and talented bands with huge followings from all over, taking the stages and in some cases, making their Bonnaroo debut. Odds are you’ll probably hear something that either moves you or makes you say, “yeah.. I know that song!” Trust me, it’s happened to me at a show when I thought I didn’t know the band playing and then became super fan #99 later after recognizing their music. So make sure to get there early and stick around to take it all in.
The festival poster is at the bottom but I wanted to acknowledge all of the bands scheduled to perform in print. Well, on this website, anyway. But they take the time to make great music and play live shows, so I want to take the time to highlight their names.
