BTS have established themselves as one of the most popular groups in the world. Today, the Bangtan Boys have earned themselves another first. Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 with their YouTube record setting – DYNAMITE. The music video gained 100 Million views in the first 24 hours. Making it the most viewed video in history during that time frame.
This is an enormous milestone for any recording artist and their fans are not taking it lightly. Millions of fans are showing their excitement by taking to Twitter to show support, dedication and pure joy for the group. Trending words and phrases like, “They Did It”, “Bangtan” and “Hot100” have been circulating all day. A simple search of “BTS” and you find a rabbit hole of rabbit holes to go down in and explore the hysteria.
Let’s see.. seems like there was something else going on with BTS last night. Oh yes, the group also made their debut on the 2020 VMA’s (Video Music Awards) last night and was received very warmly. Not only did they offer up one of their iconic live performances they also captured several Moon Person Awards.
How about one more thing, just for good measure? It’s Jungkook’s birthday. Everything going on right now for the band is one heck of a birthday gift for Jungkook. Happy Birthday!
BTS consists of members J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga and V, is additionally the first all-South Korean group to lead the Hot 100.
Did I say one of the biggest groups in the world? I think I may have meant Super-Group.
Stay tuned!
In the meantime, I’ve been doing a BTS series on YouTube. You can check out my latest videos of both versions of the bands official number one song – Dynamite.
