If there’s one artist I’d want to put on your radar, it would be Forrest Isn’t Dead. This alt-pop dynamo from Atlanta is making waves and releasing music that is not only thought provoking but pleasing to the ear.
On September 16th Forrest Isn’t Dead released the full length album – The End Of Everything via Madison Records. I could easily write that the record has many pop hooks and that you should just simply listen to it. But there’s much more than that.
There’s a theme going on throughout the album and a story worth visiting. Like any good story there’s a journey’s worth of life, death and redemption. It may not always be in that order but the point is not lost on me.
Musically, the album has a depth of sound and production. Synths, guitars, a variety of vocals and a killer drum mix gives this album a nice glow.
Last week, a new video was released that peaked my interest. It was from one of my personal favorites from the album – Paper Kingdom. Only, this is Live from Studio House in Atlanta. I dug the visuals as well as the performance. And to be honest, it was sort of nice to experience the song in that type of setting. The camera movements made me feel like I was somehow involved with the whole thing.
You can check out that video below but make sure to give The End Of Everything a good listen through. Odds are it will keep you coming back.
