Kylie has the Magic and she is sharing it with us all. Today, Kylie releases her brand-new single and video for “Magic”, taken from her forthcoming album ‘DISCO’, out November 6 via BMG Recordings.
This “feel good, get you out of your seat” track is sure to not only burn up the dance floor but it’s sure to get use out of those car speakers. This new song absolutely has to be played loudly and multiple times.
Everything just sits right with ‘Magic’. The melody is ultra catchy. The tempo is that perfect bpm for dancing along to or cruising down the highway with the warm wind blowing in your hair. The vocal is the usual goodness we have come to expect from Kylie. It has just the right amount of movement and overall it is a song that you’re likely to put on repeat and loose yourself in.
Produced and mixed by PhD (also known as Peter Wallevik & Daniel Davidsen), “Magic” is an uplifting track interlaced with piano and brass, leading up to a feel-good, melodic chorus. In short – it has everything a hit song should have.
The official video for “Magic” is also released today, filmed at London’s iconic Fabric nightclub and directed by Sophie Muller. The video is an homage to British club culture, giving Kylie fans a moment of escapism to celebrate on a fantasy dancefloor.
It’s as visually stunning as the song is audibly pleasing. Kylie’s gold outfit, sparkles and almost gives her a dreamy aura. I loved the track and video right away. So, until the world gets the full album – DISCO, in November, this is the perfect thing to hold fans over.
