On August 30, 2019 – Sheryl Crow released her collaboration album, Threads. The album features 17 tracks, 13 of which were written and co-written by Crow as well as 4 cover songs. We’re talking songs with Sting, Keith Richards, Chuck D, Gary Clark Jr, Stevie Nicks, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton and there’s more. Songs by Bob Dylan and George Harrison give this album so much depth.
Another song on the album that really had me excited was her collaboration with Joe Walsh on Still The Good Old Days. Crow’s voice with that classic Joe Walsh guitar tone and rhythm had my southern rock juices flowing. Threads is a good time – fun time jam, is a highlight of an album filled with terrific songwriting and unbelievable talent. Plus, who can resist a good back and forth between two legends of rock and roll, right?
The video is full of summer vibes, fender guitars, a classic Camaro and some behind the scenes shenanigans with Crow and Walsh. Go give this one a watch. Personally, it makes me feel pretty good!
