Los Angeles, CA (January 24, 2019) – After years of releasing music and playing live shows, Tommy Marz decided to use his experience as a musician to launch a music site and podcast that will bring to audiences, interviews with artists, actors and actresses and music industry professionals. The online music magazine site and podcast also contain album reviews and a 20/20 section that discusses prior releases in detail with 20/20 hindsight.
“I just wanted to bring a different perspective into these interviews. Having been on that side of the interview process, I try to ask questions that I wanted to hear as an artist being interviewed. For instance, when I’m talking to a guitarist, I not only want to know how long they’ve been playing and what kind of guitar they favor, but I also want to know what gauge strings they are using. Or talking about downtime when you roll into a city the day of a show. What does that look like for a band? I think a lot of fans want to know these things.”
The site went live in 2018 and the Podcast just came online in November and finished 2018 as a Top 10 trending music podcast on iTunes. Tommy has had many guests call into the show such as, Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, Chad Taylor from the band Live, Singer-songwriter and actress EG Daily, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Salvador Santana, Steve Vai, Doug Robb from Hooobastank, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stewart Copeland as well as interviewing the cast from Eddie and the Cruisers in celebration of that film turning 35 years old.
Tommy is excited to talk shop with these artists and has a passion for promoting music. But his passion doesn’t stop with major label artists. Sound Vapors has also premiered several emerging artists’ songs and videos. Creamer, City of Sound, J Hacha De Zola and many more are artists that Tommy feels the world needs to know about. This is his platform to do so.
Tommy isn’t finished with his own music, however. He has just finished up recording a new Pop/Singer-Songwriter album that he says will be coming out this summer. More announcements on that later on this year.
