Sizzy Rocket is announcing her new album, ANARCHY, set to release on September 25th. The album is available to pre-order today and will give fans access to an unreleased single titled “Queen of the World.” The 10-track album includes previous heavy-hitting singles, “That Bitch,” “Smells Like Sex” and “Rollerskating,” as well as 7 brand new tracks. With strong press love this year from the likes of MTV, PAPER, Office Magazine, and Culture Collide, the release of ANARCHY is sure to make a splash among fans and tastemakers alike.
Sizzy effortlessly combines her punk-rock roots with her lyrical pop prowess across the album. She juxtaposes slow burners like “Spill My Guts” with in-your-face anthems like “Straight To Mars (feat. Wes Period),” curating a record that is bold and evocative from start to finish. “I want you to be able to drown in this record — indulge in the big, dangerous feelings,” Sizzy writes. “Because fuck it — that’s who we are, who we’ve always been, and you can be whoever the fuck you wanna be. Sizzy Rocket is the cool best friend you wish you had growing up. In 2016, Sizzy released her debut album, THRILLS, and the album’s lead single, “Bestie,” became a viral sensation, receiving praise from the likes of New York Magazine, PAPER, and BUSTLE. Since her initial breakout, Sizzy has continued to build a rabid fanbase with the release of a 2017 mixtape, Hot Summer, her 2019 sophomore album, GRRRL, multiple sold-out US tours, and the soon to be released, ANARCHY album. Outside of her solo work, Sizzy has also written for all the cool girls of pop, from Noah Cyrus to Bea Miller.
When she’s not trading fan mail with her cult, Sizzy is building her own independent record label, designing and packaging her own merch, and booking her own tours. Sizzy challenges what it means to be a pop artist in 2020 with her DIY approach, openly queer and unapologetic lyricism, and her genre-blending musicality that takes influence from punk, rock, pop and beyond.
