Stone Temple Pilots Cancel Acoustic Tour Due To Injury

Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots are gearing up to release their acoustic album, Perdida, which comes out on February 7th.  They were set to coincide the release with an acoustic tour.  But the tour which was set to kick off February 5th in Vancouver, BC has been cancelled.  Singer Jeff Gutt had been advised to have immediate surgery for a herniated disc.

Here’s a statement from the band:

Stone Temple Pilots regret to inform they must cancel their upcoming Perdida acoustic tour, due to a severely herniated disc of lead vocalist Jeff Gutt. Doctors have advised immediate surgery, along with several weeks of recovery time and physical therapy. Gutt is expected to make a full recovery, and the band hopes to reschedule the acoustic tour later this year. Ticket holders can seek refunds at point of purchase.

STP will continue with their Australian tour with Live and Bush in April, and summer tour with Nickelback. For more info visit: www.stonetemplepilots.com

Hopefully it will be a quick recovery for Jeff and we look forward to seeing the band back on the road soon!
