Taylor Swift – From The Vault
Taylor Swift has announced via her social media that she will release the first “From The Vault’ song off of her ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ that comes out April 9. The song will be released on Thursday (3/24) at midnight. The new single is titled “You All Over Me (From The Fault)” and features country music superstar Maren Morris providing backup vocals. The song was produced by Aaron Dessner and co-written by Scooter Carusoe.
In the statement that Taylor posted to her social media she announced, “HI. I wanted to let you know that the first “From the Vault” song I’m releasing from Fearless (Taylor’s Version) comes out tomorrow at midnight eastern. It’s called You All Over Me (From The Vault).”
Taylor went on to explain the importance of the “From The Vault” songs when she said, “One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists. I’m really excited to have @marenmorris singing background vocals on this song!!”
This isn’t the first time that Taylor Swift has worked with Maren Morris as they performed together at one of Taylor’s “Reputation” tour stops in Dallas in October 2018. Taylor posted a picture of the two of them rehearsing Maren’s song “The Middle” before the October show.
Taylor announced last month that she had re-recorded her 2008 Grammy winning album ‘Fearless’ as part of her battle with Scooter Braun for ownership of her masters. When she made the announcement about the re-recordings she said of the project, “Artists should own their own work for so many reasons, but the most screamingly obvious one is that the artist is the only one who really knows that body of work. This process has been more fulfilling and emotional than I could’ve imagined and has made me even more determined to re-record all of my music.”
