The NYC-based recording artist Carly Shea is back with the brand new single and music video for – Personal Popstar.
Shea first came onto my radar earlier this year with her song – Forever. I was intrigued by her smooth harmonies and sense of melodic phrasing.
Since that time she has continued to release new songs and Personal Popstar does not fall short from those tracks. She once again demonstrated those characteristics that made me a fan in the first place. Go listen to the chorus. The end of those lines is a good example of what I love about her work.
The music video was shot at a nearly abandoned 1980s honeymoon resort and completely falls into the songs’ vibe. Oh and I don’t know if the big champagne glass was part of the original plan to be in the video but I LOVE its inclusion. It’s the perfect prop for the vid.
