Fleet Foxes Announce Solo Livestream

Fleet Foxes – A Very Lonely Solstice Livestream

Fleet Foxes announced that lead singer Robin Pecknold will be performing a solo, acoustic livestream from St. Ann & Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, New York. The livestream will take place on December 21, 2020 at 9 P.M. Eastern. Tickets and merchandise can be purchased at NoonChorus.

The livestream was announced as solo but special guests, the Resistance Revival Chorus, will join Robin Pecknold on one song during the performance. The Resistance Revival Chorus is a group of women and non-binary vocalists.

Fleet Foxes’ newest album, Shore, was released on September 22, 2020 and has been praised by critics as one of the better albums of the year. Robin Pecknold also announced that fleet Foxes are currently working on new music during their forced break from touring. Robin said that they have nine new songs in the works that they hope to be able to release sometime in 2021. Pecknold said about the new music, “I’m incredibly excited to see where those songs end up and I hope that by the time they are done we will be able to bring all of this music to crowds around the world in some form or another.”

On December 4, 2020 Fleet Foxes will be releasing the stems from Shore on Bandcamp. In a statement regarding the release of the stems Pecknold said, “This is 11 hours of all of the album’s isolated tracks, solo’d drums, vocals, horns, bass, guitars—every individual piece of every song untangled and laid bare. These aren’t royalty free, but any and all remixing / sampling / twisting / creative reuse and reimagining for your personal, non-commercial use is highly encouraged. And if you want to sample for commercial release, just get in touch.”

Fleet Foxes is an indie folk band from Seattle, Washington. Their albums Sun Giant and Fleet Foxes were both released to critical success.
