Garbage Debuts New Single and Announces Release Date For New Album

Garbage – No Gods No Masters

Garbage has released their new single “The Men Who Rule The World” off of their upcoming seventh studio album ‘No Gods No Masters’. The new album will be released on June 11 via Stunvolume/Infectious Music. Longtime Garbage collaborator Billy Bush produced ‘No Gods No Masters’ with the band.

In a statement Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson said, “This is our seventh record, the significant numerology of which affected the DNA of its content: the seven virtues, the seven sorrows, and the seven deadly sins. It was our way of trying to make sense of how fucking nuts the world is and the astounding chaos we find ourselves in. It’s the record we felt that we had to make at this time.”

There will be a deluxe version of the album that will include covers of classic songs. These covers include “Starman” by David Bowie and “Because the Night” written by Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith. Along with the covers the deluxe tracks will feature Brody Dalle, Screaming Females, Brian Aubert, John Doe, and Exene Cervenka.

For Garbage this will be the first studio album since 2016’s ‘Strange Little Birds’. ‘Strange Little Birds’ was their second independent release and also featured Billy Bush on production.
