Veronica Bellino has built an amazing resume of music. She is currently the drummer in the rock band Life of Agony. She’s played with music legends like Jeff Beck, Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, Carmine Appice, Orianthi, and Richie Sambora.
If that wasn’t enough, she’s also an incredible singer. While speaking with Veronica I was surprised to learn that the great voice I heard on a DMC recording was actually her on vocals. Veronica tells Sound Vapors, “It’s cool, it’s a different feeling for me because I’m just used to being in the back of the stage and playing drums.”
To hear her story and journey is really interesting. As she explains how she came to collaborate with Jeff Beck, I am truly amazed. The entire path is in the podcast but I will tell you this: Veronica and a video of her playing drums on YouTube has a big part to the story. And I don’t mean the way it’s done today with setting up an iPhone and uploading it and taking a total time of like 10 minutes. I’m talking about actually having to take the time and put in effort to get a video like that up on the site. As she says, “It’s crazy! Sometimes I don’t even believe it.” Seriously, it’s pretty crazy how everything went down.
