Premiere: City of Sound – The Madhouse

City of Sound - The Madhouse

23 October 2018

The alternative rock band, City of Sound, is ready to enter your head space with their energizing brand of music.  This trio from Los Angeles, California have put together quite the vision.  “Our specific sound was always the vision,” says Jordan Wright (vocals/piano). “I had wanted to create something that makes people feel epic and punches them right in the face with hope. Luckily, I found two people who wanted to be a part of the same thing.”  Those two people who helped complete the package are Violinist, Lacey Ammar and Andrew Leigh on guitar.  Together, they have created something special.

Their brand new single, The Madhouse, mixes the melodic bliss of Coldplay and U2 and the thought provoking/inspiring lyrics of songwriters like Bono and Jared Leto of Thirty Seconds To Mars.

“‘The Madhouse’ is a song subtly based on the painting by Francisco De Goya during the Spanish enlightenment,” says Jordan Wright. “The song is a conversation between a central-character and the divine, in an attempt to face their created-insecurities that have kept them a prisoner in their own mind.”

Get ready for a big sounding, ultra wide burst of music from City of Sound.  This single, The Madhouse is only the beginning of what appears to be a fun journey for not only the band but for it’s fans as well.  The full length album, Silent Empire, is due out in the very near future and their fans are anxiously awaiting the albums release.

In the meantime, the band continues to play to packed houses and sold out shows.  Their next concert is November 29th at The Federal in Los Angeles.  If you are in town, make sure you check out the show.  You can get ticket info here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/city-of-sound-its-good-to-be-home-tickets-51107518965
