This Wild Darkness Announces New Album Releases Two Singles

This Wild Darkness Magnet For The Damned

This Wild Darkness releases the first glimpse into their forthcoming full length album – ‘Quo Vadis’, which will be released on January 1, 2027 via Super Collider/KMG.

The project, which will be sharing more information on the album in the coming weeks, are thrilled to share two tracks from ‘Quo Vadis’: Magnet For The Damned and ‘Going Down’.

‘Magnet For The Damned’ features Skid Row guitarist Scotti Hill, flexing his explosive guitar playing & tone along with Billboard charting solo artist Tommy Marz providing a vocal full of grit and swag.  Chuck Bartels (Sturgill Simpson) lays down an energetic, bouncy bassline while complimenting a hypnotic drum track by Marz.

The second half to this release is a cover of the Freddie King classic, ‘Going Down’.  Along with Hill, Marz and Bartels, ‘Going Down’ features a dynamic, soulful performance from Billboard chart topping and American Idol finalist, Kimberley Locke.  Award winning composer, Roman Molino Dunn contributes a masterful piano track to round out a powerful version of the Don Nix written gem that has become a staple of Blues Rock artists, the world over.

Tommy Marz gives insight into the songs chosen for the double A-Side.  “The album started with a desire to cover Going Down. Freddie King has been a favorite of all of us in the project and we wanted to pay homage to one of the greatest blues players.  So, it all started with that song in mind and it just felt right to intro the new album along with Magnet For The Damned.

Marz elaborates further, “I wanted to write songs in more of a blues structure than the previous EP.  Magnet to me really showcases the personality of the entire record.  A sort of mix between traditional and contemporary.  I am very pleased with the way the album turned out.  Everyone involved did such a tremendous job and I couldn’t be prouder.”
