New Album Coming From The Offspring

The Offspring – Let The Bad Times Roll

The Offspring have announced they will be releasing ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’ on April 16 via Concord records. This will be first studio album for the SoCal punk icons since ‘Days Go By’ in 2012. Like ‘Days go By’ the new album was produced by Bob Rock who has also produced albums from The Tragically Hip, Metallica, and Aerosmith.

With the new album The Offspring have also released the title track, ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’, as their new single. You can check out the new single below.

In a statement, frontman Dexter Holland discussed the meaning of the title track. Holland said,  “I feel like we’re in a unique period in history where instead of our world leaders saying ‘we’re doing our best’ it’s more like they’re saying ‘fuck it’ and its really scary.” Guitarist “Noodles” Wasserman added, “Folks are saying, if it’s all going to Hell, we might as well make the most out of it, or at least go out swinging. ‘Let The Bad Times Roll!’”

The Offspring released their debut self-titled album in 1989 but really broke through with the release of ‘Smash’ in 1994. Behind the singles “Come Out and Play”, “Self Esteem”, and “Gotta Get Away” the album has sold over 11 million copies worldwide. The Offspring even became TRL favorites on MTV in 1998 when the music video for their single “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” was featured on the show. The single even earned the honor of a Weird Al parody song titled “Pretty Fly for a Rabbi”.
